Success’s Paradox

“We succeed in enterprises which demand the positive qualities we possess, but we excel in those which can also make use of our defects.” ~ Alexis de Tocqueville

A seeming paradox this morning for our muddled Monday brains.  Excelling with our defects? Hm. That’s a puzzler.

But I would guess de Tocqueville means that when we use all that we have, that’s when we excel.

If I can figure out how to use this morning’s grumpiness to lead to excellence, that would be a corker!  Happy Monday!
