Believe It then Be It

“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.”~ Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt, 26th president of the United States
Some very “New Age-y” words of wisdom from Teddy in honor of Presidents’ Day here in the US.   But this isn’t so much New Age wisdom as it’s an example of American optimism, something as old as our very first settlements.  And Teddy knew what he was talking about. A sickly child, with severe asthma that took a great toll on his body, he nonetheless believed he could be a man of action. And he was.
He knew that believing in a goal, truly believing in it, was half the battle.
I know I need some of Teddy’s spirit myself, and I don’t think I’m alone.  Believing really is half the battle.
