Trying Kindness

“If there is any kindness I can show, or any good thing that I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not deter or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.” ~ William Penn

Good words from a good man. Kindness is often free, and so many people ache inside for just the smallest show of kindness. How much good can be done with a kind word? Or even better, a kind gesture?

A few years back there was a vogue for “random acts of kindness” and “paying it forward”. Perhaps we can keep them alive by doing them. Paying it forward doesn’t have to be monetary, but kindness begets kindness, I find.
