Don’t Listen to “Them”

The thing I like best about this quote is that a student brought it up at the very beginning of class.  Granted, I had assigned the essay, this is from “A Letter to a Child Like Me,” but before we even discussed it, he wanted to share it because it really had an impact on him.

Yes! A Golden Moment for a teacher, when students “get it” without me having to point out the importance. It made me so happy to see the reaction a number of them had.

And it’s a great piece of advice. A useful piece of advice, and one that almost every one of us should take to heart.

‘Nuff said!
